It has been a while but a lot happened. Between building a tiny human and making l’apéro into a legal american association: French American Hospitality and Gastronomy Association, Starting a new job in a new industry and finally adjusting to a life as a family I must say 2016 was quite a year!
So here we are in 2017. L’apéro is up and running with new board members and I am looking for the next great adventure to join! A bon entendeur….
Official Launch l’apéro
I am very proud to have launched my 3rd website so far. I did this for the networking group L’Apero! Have a look here: http://www.aperosf.com
After trying out the world of blogging and beginning with WordPress with http://www.lookingdownthehill.com then this professional website you are reading right now, I tried another platform and created a whole new design for L’Apero.
I just started to use Medium for blog posts as well. Thanks to DialIQ who is launching its
app very soon I had the chance to contribute to their content and write a post for them.
You can read it here.
We launched a new style for the Hospitality French Networking yesterday!
I learned how to create various social media pages and link them all using a social media management system. After reviewing several different types of platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout and Buffer) I finally chose Buffer thanks to a friend’s advice. Word-of-mouth is definitely still valuable!
Then we created the new logo thanks to another friend who is talented on Illustrator (unfortunately I am still a beginner in that area…but not for long!)
Finally we were ready for launching yesterday! We will meet every first Thursday of the month in various hip locations in San Francisco! Follow the group to check for our next event and to share on the latest Hospitality/Food/Wine/Travel news and events in San Francisco:

On October 1st at the W Hotel in San Francisco was the 4th French Hospitality Networking event. This was again a great opportunity to meet new hotel people but also other industries willing to network with Hoteliers. I am also very proud to say that from now on I am a co-manager of this exciting group and we do have great projects in mind to develop the group. For instance we will open it to all European Hoteliers, Event, Tourism or any industries linked to those industries. Please meet us next time and join the group on LinkedIn for updates. We meet every first Thursday of the month with many more upcoming surprises!
Just finished a course on Content Marketing on Lynda.com by Dayna Rothman. This was really interesting and I can’t wait to learn more about that field. In some industries though Sales people are doing Content Marketing on their own, this course enables you to see further, using more tools and really engaging the audience.
